The name is Benaiah.
Born in the Netherlands. Moved some 31 times across 8 different countries around the globe. Author, teacher and theologian that ended up podcasting because… well, life happened. Unexpectantly. Untimely. Brutally, too. But here’s the bright side: nobody needs a textbook theologian anyway. Never trust a preacher who doesn’t walk without a limp, eh?
This is why I started this Saint K9® Podcast:
I’ve been there. Done that. But like you, at times, I wasn’t where I was supposed to be. And didn’t do what I should’ve done. Nevertheless, through it all I learned some ‘lifecraft’ while following the Lord Jesus. And I figured you could use some help. That is, if you’d have me on board for a while.
a.k.a. SΛINT K9®
Years of working, living and travelling in many countries (e.g. the U.S.A., Nepal, Tibet, India, Jordan, Israel, Syria, Egypt, the Philippines, Mongolia, Kazachstan, etc.).
To be able to create someing… there’s nothing like it!
The All 4 One (2001), ‘katalyst’ Foundation, to support indigenous missionary endeavours (e.g. orphanages, humanitarian projects, safe houses, etc.).
Christformation; (2007) an interdenominational Bible college, built to train students to make disciples from a stewardship standpoint.
Via a Master’s degree in Theology & Leadership (Roehampton Universtity, Londen); I did research into the effects caused by the process and the aftermath of disengagment, as well as the repercussions of (dis)functional leadership
The impact of deliberate congregational disengagement on believers and the implication for church leaders, fuels my drive to promote exemplary discipleship among fellow ministers
Married + father of 4 kids: my chief assignment, my greatest learning experience, continual mirror, and the bright side of my life.
My four-legged therapist (an Irish Terriër called ‘Watson’) keeps me walking with God and from going bonkers.
As a ‘weathered theologian’ I seem perpetually enrolled in the school-of-hard-knocks. Nevertheless, it provides sufficient experience to effectively encourage, inspire, and (hopefully) fascinate others with the wonder of our Creator and how His Word impacts our lives.
‘Wrote a book (‘Live To Give’, 2015). Pretty much in the way I preach: letting the Word score the point, while bringing the intricacies of Scripture back to applicable simplicity. Spiced with humor, enthusiasm, and a bit of an edge, naturally.
Drastic life changes or our family, restricted my entrepreneurial, globetrotting DNA to the confines of our home in a small, forest village.
Nevertheless, while taking care of my own, covid-season brought requests for online content. The Saint K9 Podcast® was born. Initially in Dutch. Upon request, an international version followed.

K9
K9 (homophone of the Latin canine): a dog specifically trained to assist in tracking, trailing, detection and rescue missions.
Er... Saint Dog?
‘Saint Dog’ oxymoronically expresses the essence of Jesus’ rescue mission: sanctifying sinners, turning them into saints. Former heathens—mere unclean dogs—no longer eat the crumbs falling from the Divine dinner table. Instead, we now partake from the Living Bread as children.
Within the context of theologistics a well-trained K9 embodies deliberate discipleship.
